Sea of Thieves - Review/What I've learned so far
Sea of Thieves looks like a barrel of laughs! - There, I said it! It's out of the way, so let's get into the overview of what I have seen so far. The game play trailer was released at E3 and I seriously cannot wait for this game to be released. It honestly looks like it's going to be so much fun if you can gather the right friends/crew to help you quest the oceans in search of treasure.

The graphics are very cartoonish which makes the atmosphere less about trying to be the best and taking the game serious, and more about having fun with friends and enjoying what you can about the variety of game play that this game seems to offer. From sea battles, to cave/tomb raiding, to sea battles and deep sea diving.

This game seems to have a lot of elements that you'd want from a pirate game. With NPC's such as Skeletons, and deep sea creatures such as sharks, there seems to be a challenge from both the PVP elements and the NPC elements, which will make this game somewhat challenging. However, what seems to make this game really interesting is the riddles that must be solved to find the hidden treasure. Some of these might seem easy, but I'm hoping some will pose more of a challenge, so that the game doesn't feel like it's too easy.

The graphics do look beautiful, especially when diving under water, or traversing the landscape to find that hidden treasure. The E3 trailer was executed brilliantly with a great commentary which you can watch below. The key to this game seems to be TEAMWORK, so if you plan on getting this game, be prepared to either have friends with an interest in it, or be prepared to make new friends and work together in order to be the most feared and fun pirates of the seven seas. Find treasure, protect each other from the enemy, and work together to oppose any who try to steal your booty. The sea is a treacherous place, so teamwork is the only thing that you can do in order to enjoy this game and achieve anything.

So what are some of the elements that make this game look so fun? How about being able to climb into a cannon and become a human cannonball, to either fly onto land or fly onto other ships. Who wouldn't want to do that!? I know I do! But let's not forget the sea battles more importantly. You can fire the cannons and sink ships, or board the ship and fight your way through their crew using your guns and your cutlass, stealing loot and becoming a fearsome pirate!

Let's not forget the riddles that you must solve in order to find the buried treasure. This will make the game more challenging (hopefully) and require teamwork to solve the clues and find where the booty is buried.

Overall, this is a game I will make sure that I and my friends will get in order to unleash the fun, and fury of our inner pirate and ensure that we have, as I said before, a 'Barrel of Laughs' by working together, solving riddles, looting precious booty and fighting anyone who opposes us on land or on sea. Bring on 2018!
