Red Riding Hood

The moon was full

The night was black

Little Red kept looking back

Strolling through the trees and grass

Quick reactions are needed

To successfully pass

A roar is heard in the trees beyond

Beyond the bridge

Over the black water pond

On such a night

When the moon is full

Little Red Riding Hood fills with fright

The beast is charging like a raging bull

Run Red! Run!

Find your Father and his gun

The beast knows no fear

It hunts more than deer

With Satan it made a deal

You have been chosen

To become its next meal

Run Red! Run!

You trip and fall

Is this the end of it all?

The beast slowly approaches

As everything else flees

Even the cockroaches

You hear it scream

Yet it sounds so familiar

You turn and look

The image is similar

Father is that you?

No! No! This can’t be true!

Little Red, turn and see

Look at what the moon has done to me

I am damned with this eternal curse

To live this life, there is nothing worse

I want you to run

Head or my shack

Fetch my gun

Never look back

Go Now! Run! While you still have a chance

Before I change

I know you’re confused

I know this all seems strange

But if you are to understand

If you are to see

You must stay focused

Without hesitation Kill me!

She runs to the shack

Never looks back

Like her father intended

His life must be ended

The clouds disperse

Revealing the moon

With any luck

The curse will be destroyed soon

She finds her father’s gun

Hides until the morning sun

When she will shoot down

The man she once knew

His body shall fall

In the morning dew

BANG!

His body falls

As Little Red was found

Hiding behind locked doors

The curse is lifted

But her father’s soul

Has drifted
