War

There are Demons inside Angels and Angels inside us all

If we're taught to climb high in life, then why were we born to fall?

And I don't see why

Our people even try

To cause upset and fright

To try to show our country’s might

Why do we cause war, why do we have to fight?

To try and prove which leader is wrong and which is right

 

Why did she lose her father, why did He lose his son?

Fighting in a battle that just couldn't be won

Do you understand her pain?

Will she ever see him again?

Our sisters call their brothers name

 

Will this world ever be the same?

As it was before

Without the war

War is never ending

More troops we keep on sending

More lives so peaceful and innocent

Can't you hear the cries of each and every Infant?

 

They lay awake at night

Their mothers hold them tight

And say it will be all right

But they haven't got a clue

But what else can you do

In a tricky situation, when you hold a child so near

Hold their head against your chest so that they cannot see the tear

The hidden pain behind the mask

When you're family are in another part of the world,

Completing their countries task
